Ministry of National Defense issued a press release to explain “the military uniform with the team badge has been adjusted and a winter jacket has been considered.” (July 5th, 2018)

Ministry of National Defense claimed today (5th), the team badge has been regulated on July 1, 1998 to be sewn on military casual wear and camouflage combat uniform. It has also been regulated on March 1, 2017 to be sewn on military uniform.

Until now, basic military personnel argued that they did not wear military uniforms so frequently and the uniforms could only be renewed within years (5 years for Army and 8 years for other). However, when they transferred to work in different positions, the badges which had to be removed would easily damage the uniforms. As the basic military personnel suggested, the team badges no longer needed to be sewn starting from July 16, 2018, but it is still sewn on military casual wear and camouflage combat uniform.

A test of new winter jacket has currently been carrying on and will see how military personnel respond to it for any further improvement.
